Notes / Footnote

1. Date of next revision in minimum wage rates is not announced by the Government. However, the current wages are expected to last for next three years (till 2016). 
2. Calculation of Payperiod - As per section 19 of The Employment and Labour Relations Act, 2004
   • Wage per day - Daily rate is calculated on the basis of 9 works hours in a day
   • Wage per week - Weekly rate is calculated on the basis of 45 hours in a week or 6 work days in a wee
   • Wage per fortnight - Fortnightly rate is calculated on the basis of 90 hours or 12 work days
   • Wage per month - Monthly rate is calculated on the basis of 26 work days in a month or 234 hours in a month.
