TANZANIA BROADCASTING CORPORATIONThe Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation (TBC) is a Public Service Broadcasterestablished by Government Order in 2007 and became operational on the 1stof July 2007 replacing the then Tanzania Broadcasting Services – TaasisiyaUtangazaji Tanzania (TUT). TUT was established in the year 2002 pursuant to Public Corporation Act No 2 of 1992, Government Notice No 23 of 14th June 2002. Its formation was a result of a merger of Radio Tanzania Dar es Salaam (RTD) which was established in 1972 and TelevisheniyaTaifa (TVT) which was established in 1999.

Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation (TBC) invite applications from suitably qualified Tanzanians to fill the following posts:

  1. TECHNICIAN II                                                        -           33 POSTS (for Regional Transmitters)

QUALIFICATIONS:
Holder of Secondary Education Certificate plus Trade Test II / III or its equivalent from a recognised Institution. Computer skills are an added advantage.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Carry out technical operations,
  2. Carry out  servicing and maintenance work of technical equipment,
  3. Ensure proper maintenance of all equipment at his/her workplace,
  4. Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Salary:
Within the Salary Scale of PGSS 5
  1. JOURNALIST II:                                                      -           2 POSTS
QUALIFICATIONS:
Holder of Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Journalism, Mass Communication, TV/Film Production
from a recognized Institution. Knowledge in word processing, graphics, photographing, photo-editing and video shooting is an added advantage. Computer skills are essential.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Gather and write news and stories,
  2. Writes scripts and continuities and prepares programmes for radio and television products,
  3. Collects, reports and comments on news and current affairs for broadcasting by radio or television,
  4. Interviews politicians and other public figures at press conferences and on occasions, including individual interviews recorded for radio or television,
  5. Writes editorials and selects, revises, arranges and edits submitted articles and other materials for broadcasting on radio or television,
  6. Writes advertising copy promoting particular products or services,
  7. Selects, assembles and prepares publicity materials about business or other organizations for being broadcast through radio, television or other media,
  8. Provides professional and technical support to other junior reporters/journalists,
  9. Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by Supervisor.
Salary:
Within the Salary Scale of PGSS 10
  1. Records Management Assistant II                                             - 1POST
QUALIFICATIONS:
Holder of Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education (ACSE) or Certificate of Secondary Education (CSE) with pass in Kiswahili and English language and certificate in Records Management or its equivalent from a recognized Institution.  Computer skills are essential.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-           Receives files, deliver to the appropriate officer and collects and returns them to registry,
-           Opens relevant files according to record keeping regulations,
-           Keeps record of movement of files according to laid down procedures,
-           Traces, locates and retrieves files when needed by officers,
-           Receiving and register all official documents brought in the registry.
-           Arranging documents and files in ranking or cabinets in the registry.
-           Filing documents in the appropriate files.
-           Record and arrange efficient and timely dispatch of all correspondences
-           Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor. Salary:
Within the Salary Scale of PGSS 5-6
  1. Procurement Management Officer II                                         -           2POSTS
QUALIFICATIONS:
Holder of Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Materials Management or its equivalent from a recognised  Institution and registered with Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technicians Board (PSPTB).  Computer skills essential are essential. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-           Provides support in placing orders for goods requested by user departments,
-           Inspects goods supplied to ascertain conformity to approved standards specifications and quality,
-           Follows up overdue orders,
-           Prepares monthly, quarterly, mid-year and annual stock report,
-           Clears goods imported by the Corporation,
-           Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Salary:
Within the Salary Scale of PGSS 10-11
 
  1. ICT Officer II                                                                         -           1 POST
QUALIFICATIONS:
Holder of  Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics or its equivalent from a recognised Institution.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-           Initiates development of information systems,
-           Assists in setting up and maintains servers, workstations and peripherals
-           Carries out system back-up and periodically tests recovery procedures.
-           Appraises the supervisor on release of updates and software,
-           Assists in providing IT support services to users,
-           Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor. Salary:
Within the Salary Scale of PGSS 11-12
 
  1. Human Resource and Administrative Officer II                      -           1 POST
QUALIFICATIONS:
Holder of Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, Sociology or its equivalent from a recognized Institution. Computer Skills are essential. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-           Assist in salary administration, remuneration scheme and management of Pension and terminal benefits,
-           Assist in the preparation of staff records regarding, staff leave and staff welfare,
-           Keep an update registers for staff position, disposition, engagements, confirmations and promotions,
-           Promote good industrial relations in the workplace,
-           Assist in management of the Pension scheme,
-           Participate on assessing training needs of personnel,
-           Collecting, keeping and updating personnel data and information.
-           Interpreting and implementing Scheme of Service.
-           Collecting, analysing and planning proper statistics records for human resources plans.
-           Preparing and handling seniority list.
-           Drafting internal circulars, letters and internal memorandum for official use.

  1. Estate Management Officer II                                          -           1POST
QUALIFICATIONS:
Holder of Bachelor Degree or an Advanced Diploma in Estate/Land Management and Valuation,  Architecture, Building Economics or its equivalent from a recognized Institution. Computer Skills are essential. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-           Carries out periodic inspection of the Corporation’s buildings and assesses maintenance requirements,
-           Maintains an up to date record of real estates and assets register,
-           Provide support on following up procurement of Title Deeds for TBC properties,
-           Produces periodic reports on the status of TBC properties,
-           Prepares sketches and plans needed for making minor alterations to buildings and equipment.
-           Assists in innovative approaches to conditioning, maintaining and upgrading of the surroundings of the Corporation’s buildings.
-           Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor. Salary:

  1. Soundman II                                                                                    -           1POST
QUALIFICATIONS:
Holder of Diploma in Sound Recording or its equivalent from a recognised Institution with good command of Swahili and English language. Computer skills are essential.  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-           Recording sound and music on location and in the studio with optimum sound quality and effects,
-           Deal with all sound transfers as may be requested by the producer,
-           Perform integration of music into the broadcast,
-           Ensure proper maintenance and operation of all sound recording devices,
-           Ensure optimum quality of sound at recording/dubbing sessions and proper blending of sound effects with music tracks into single cohesive unit,
-           Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor. Salary:

  1. DRIVER II                                                                              -           2  POSTS
QUALIFICATIONS:
Holder of Certificate of Secondary Education with passes in Kiswahili and English. Must have a valid class C driving license and Trade Test Grade III from a recognized Institution with driving experience of 2 years with accident free record. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Drive the Corporation’s vehicles towards approved destinations and in accordance with traffic regulations,
  2. Undertake minor mechanical repairs,
  3. Take vehicles due for routine maintenance/repair to the appointed service agents,
  4. Maintain motor vehicle log books,
  5. Make pre-inspection to the assigned vehicle at all times,
  6. Ensure that valid documents and permits are acquired prior commencement of any journey
  7. Report promptly accidents or incidents involving the vehicles to the relevant authority,
  8. Ensure that the vehicle assigned to him/her is maintained, serviced regularly and kept clean,
  9. Maintain a logbook and record all vehicle movements as instructed,
  10. Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

JINSI YA KUENDELEA KUWA MLIMBWENDE KIPINDI CHA UJAUZITO MPAKA KUJIFUNGUA

Kipindi cha ujauzito wanawake wengi hujikuta wakiacha kuzingatia hatua mbalimbali za kujitunza ili kubaki warembo, matokeo yake hupoteza mvuto.
Hali hiyo inaweza kuendelea hata baada ya kujifungua na huenda ikawa mbaya zaidi kwa kuwa mara nyingi kipindi hicho mama hujikuta akitumia muda mwingi kumwangalia mtoto.
Kujifungua au ujauzito haiwezi kuwa sababu ya mwanamke kupoteza urembo uliokuwanao awali. Hivyo ni jukumu la mwanamke mjamzito au aliyejifungua kuhakikisha anabaki na mvuto wake ukiwa kwenye kiwango stahiki.
Kuwa mrembo siyo lazima upake vipodozi vyenye kemikali kwani vinaweza kumsababishia madhara mtoto kwa kuwa atatumia muda mrefu akiwa mwilini kwako.
Katika kipindi hiki mama mjamzito au aliyejifungua anatakiwa kuepuka kupaka mafuta, losheni au manukato yenye harufu kali inayoweza kuwa na madhara kwa mtoto hata kumsabishia wakati mgumu katika kupumua.
Ni vyema utumie vipodozi visivyo na kemikali ili kujilinda usipoteze mvuto wako. Pia tumia muda mwingi kufanya mazoezi mepesi yatakayoweza kukusadia kutengeneza umbile (shape), yako na kuifanya ionekane yenye mvuto wa hali ya juu hata ikiwa umetoka kujifungua.
Hakikisha pia kucha zako zinakuwa fupi na safi, hii haimaanishi kwamba huruhusiwi kupaka rangi unaweza kuziremba kwa mtindo wowote unaopenda lakini ziwe katika kiwango ambacho hakitamdhuru mtoto kwa namna yoyote.
Kitu muhimu cha kuzingatia katika kipindi hicho ni usafi na mwonekano wa ndani na nje. Kwa kufanya hivyo, hata mtoto atakuwa katika mazingira salama yanaweza kumtamanisha mtu mwingine kutaka kumshika.

Mpango wa Mwenyekiti wa Bunge Maalumu la Katiba, Samuel Sitta wa kutaka ya wajumbe wake walioko nje ya nchi kupiga kura kupitisha Katiba inayopendekezwa, umepingwa na wasomi, ukielezwa ni kinyume na kanuni za Bunge na sheria za nchi.

Wasomi hao, wanaharakati na wanasiasa wamesema Tanzania haina utaratibu wa raia wake kupiga kura wakiwa nje ya nchi na kwamba hiyo ni mbinu ya kufanya udanganyifu.
Juzi, Sitta alisema wajumbe wa Bunge hilo watakaokuwa nje ya nchi kwa sababu zozote, ikiwamo ya matibabu na Hijja, watapiga kura hukohuko mara upigaji kura utakapoanza Septemba 26, mwaka huu na kuwataka wajumbe hao kuacha mawasiliano yao watakapokuwa nje na kwamba uongozi wa Bunge umeanza kufanya mawasiliano na balozi mbalimbali za Tanzania, ili wawepo watumishi wake watakaokula kiapo cha kisheria kusimamia kazi hiyo.
Mhadhiri Mwandamizi wa Chuo Kikuu cha Dar es Salaam, Dk Benson Bana alisema suala la Watanzania kupiga kura wakiwa nje ya nchi halimo kwenye kanuni zinazoongoza Bunge hilo na ni vizuri utaratibu huo ukaachwa.
Alisema anachokiona sasa ni Bunge kuendelea kupoteza fedha za wananchi wakati hakuna maridhiano huku uamuzi ukiwa umefikiwa kwamba Katiba Mpya itapatikana baada ya Uchaguzi Mkuu wa 2015.
Mwenyekiti wa CUF, Profesa Ibrahim Lipumba alisema: “Hata kanuni za mabunge ya Jumuiya za Madola ambazo sisi tunazifuata ikitokea mjumbe anaumwa anapelekwa kwenye ukumbi wa Bunge kupiga kura, kura haipigwi sehemu yoyote.
“Hata katika Bunge la Uingereza ikionekana mjumbe anatakiwa kupiga kura lakini anaumwa atapelekwa ukumbini kwa msaada wa uongozi wa Bunge, ili aweze kutimiza haki yake ya kidemokrasia lakini haki hiyo haiwezi kumfuata huko aliko.
“Sitta analichukulia suala la Katiba kama lake binafsi, utaratibu wa kupiga kura za kificho haukubaliki kwa sababu utasababisha uchakachuaji,” alisema.
Mkurugenzi Mkuu wa Utetezi wa Haki za Binadamu Tanzania (THRDC), Onesmo Olengurumwa alisema Tanzania haina utaratibu wa raia wake kupiga kura wakiwa nje ya nchi.
Mwanasheria huyo alisema kinachofanywa na Sitta kinaonyesha namna Bunge la Katiba linavyolazimisha mchakato huo.
“Kituo pekee cha wajumbe wa Bunge Maalumu kupiga kura ni ndani ya Ukumbi wa Bunge na si vinginevyo. Kinachofanywa na Sitta ni kuwahadaa Watanzania, mtu anaumwa atapigaje kura wakati hata kwenye majadiliano hakuwapo? Unalipigia kura jambo ambalo umeshiriki kwenye majadiliano,” alisema.

Alisema Tanzania haina utaratibu wa raia wake kupiga kura wakiwa nje ya nchi na kwamba endapo Serikali inataka kuuruhusu basi ifanye hivyo.

Habari zinasema mwanaume huyo mwenye miaka 29 anayefanya kazi ya ulinzi ,amesema ameongezeka uzito na tumbo limekua mithili ya aliye mjamzito na kudai kuwa anasumbuliwa na maumivu ya mgongo na cha ajabu amekuwa na hamu ya baadhi ya vyakula.

Harry ameripotiwa kuwa na dalili za kuwa mja mzito miezi miwili baada ya kubaini kuwa mchumba wake ni mjamzito.

Harry amekuwa akipatiwa dawa na inasemekana anaweza kudai mafao wakati akiwa katika mapumziko hayo.

OSCAR PISTORIUS ASUBIRI HUKUMU BAADA YA KUUA BILA KUKUSUDIA

Jaji wa mahakama kuu ya Afrika Kusini Thokozile Masipa anaendelea hii leo kutoa hukumu yake dhidi ya kesi ya mauaji inayomkabili mwanariadha wa Olimpiki Oscar Pistorius huko Afrika Kusini.

Tayari amemuondolea makosa ya mauaji, na badala yake Pistorious anakabiliwa na makosa ya kuua bila kukusudia.

Katika uamuzi wake huo wa kumuondolea Mwanariadha Oscar Pistorius mashtaka ya mauaji ,jaji Thokozile Masipa alisema mwendesha mashtaka hakuthibitisha kesi yake pasi na shaka yoyote.
Hata hivyo itabainika vyema baadae leo iwapo atapatikana na hatia ya mauji pasi na kukusudia wakati jaji atapoitolea kesi hiyo hukumu yakini.

Pistorius amekana mashtaka ya kumua aliyekuwa mpenzi wake Reeva Steenkamp hapo mwaka jana katika siku ya wapendao Valentine day pale alipomfyatulia risasi kumuua.
Mwendesa mashtaka amekuwa akisisitiza kuwa Pistorius alimpiga risasi Reeva wakati wa ugomvi baina yao lakini Pistorius amekuwa akijitetea kuwa alidhani ni mwizi aliyevamia nyumba yake.

Jaji amesema wakati wa tukio hilo Pistorius alikosa makini kwa kutumia bunduki yake vibaya.

Mwandishi wetu wa Afrika kusini anasema uamuzi huu wa awali umewashangaza wengi waliokuwa wakifuatilia kesi hii kwa karibu wakisema inavyoelekea anaweza kupewa kifungo chepesi.
