years. An educational background in business administration, economics

are awarded to explore and analyze the courses, determinants, outcomes
and implications of innovation and entrepreneurship processes. Current
research areas are IPR Systems, Innovation Management and Policy,
Culture and Innovation, Innovation Motives and Innovation Behavior.
Course Level: Fellowships are available for PhD candidates to undertake research.

Eligibility: To
be considered, the candidate should have a basic training at the
Master´s level (equivalent to the 3 + 2 Bologna process) and be fluent,
both in written and spoken English. An educational background in
business administration, economics or a related field is necessary. The
candidate should also show a strong interest in innovation, intellectual
property management, or entrepreneurship and an active participation in
on-going research projects. Most importantly, the candidate should
share our fascination for high quality scientific research with academic
and societal impact. The Max Planck Society seeks to increase the

Scholarship Description: The
Munich Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Research (MCIER) at
the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition in Munich pursue
research to explore and analyze the courses, determinants, outcomes and

Duration of award(s): Financial support will be available for a total period of three years.
What does it cover? Financial
support is granted in accordance with the guidelines of the Max Planck
Society in the form of a doctoral scholarship (stipend).
How to Apply: In
addition to the research proposal, the application must include copies
of a Master’s degree certificate or other certificates of a
corresponding level, brief curriculum vitae (CV), a list of papers,
publications, or a selected written work (e.g. Master’s thesis).
Applicants must enclose documentation of their English language skills
